Dominik Mucklow joins Cropster as Product Manager for Origin and R&D

Please join us in welcoming Dominik Mucklow as Product Manager for Origin and R&D aboard the Cropster team! He'll be working with coffee producers, cooperatives and farms of all sizes worldwide with a focus on research, development and new product initiatives. You can read the full press release here.

Innsbruck, Austria, 22nd, February 2019 After 9 years working at origin in Africa, Dominik Mucklow brings extensive farm and processing expertise to Cropster. He most recently served as Information Technology Manager for Gesha Village Coffee Estate in Ethiopia, where he created a custom inventory management and quality assurance application called Coffee Navigator. Prior to Gesha Village he built a monitoring and evaluation system for TechnoServe's coffee initiative, a wet mill auditing tool for cooperatives, which have also been used in Rwanda, Kenya and South Sudan, and worked on several projects sponsored by Nespresso, Mondelez and Mother Parkers. A physics graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Dominik also served in US Peace Corps for two years in rural Kenya.

During his time in Ethiopia Dominik also created the most detailed collection of maps of Ethiopian coffee production and personally surveyed more than 500 washing stations. Throughout this experience he built an intimate knowledge of processing standards and practices across the industry. A knowledge he will be leveraging as he works on delivering the next versions of Cropster's existing and new origin solutions and products.

Working with Cropster on their Origin product is the opportunity to extend to coffee producers the same level of quality assurance we have come to expect from specialty roasters. This promises to greatly expand the overall supply of top-grade green beans with the benefits accruing to consumers and farmers alike.
Dominik Mucklow
