Set up your roasting machines in a few clicks
As a first step, you will be asked to download & install the Cropster Roasting Intelligence (RI) and given the machine specific manual for your roasting machine(s). There are two methods to connect your machine to Cropster: Plug & play or via the Cropster Connector. If you need a Cropster Connector, our sales team will get in touch with you before setting up your Cropster account and theyll get one sent to you right away. Weve outlined everything you need to know about how to connect your roasting machines here. And in case you were wondering: Yes, it is easy. If you need any help at all, you can always contact our support team who are here to help.
Once youre connected and the RI is in place, we recommend that you watch our video on how to get started. Its a short but very useful introduction. Oh, and if youre using Cropster Lab and dont use sample roasters, then you can skip this step and continue with setting up users instead.
Connecting and setting up your roasting machine(s) is easy.
Get all your roasters, lab workers, cuppers, etc. on board
Once youre connected youll want to start roasting. But before you do, take a moment to invite your team to Cropster by adding their name and Email address. Make sure, you tick the right box for the persons role before you send the invite. Choose from roaster, evaluator, data manager or group admin. This will identify what they see when they are set up. We know that roles and responsibilities can change over time, so what they see can be customized later on. But, doing this right at the start will save you a lot of time in the future, give you better information and them relevant information from day one. Plus, it takes seconds. You will be very happy you took this step right at the beginning! ;-)
When you invite your users, make sure to select their roles and permissions.

If you have multiple locations, you then continue to the next step where youre able to set up any warehouses, roasting locations and countries you work in - in just a few clicks.

Choose your cupping sheets & details right away
When it comes to cupping your coffees, you can choose the sensorial sheets youll be using in the next step of the setup. Cropster has lots of different sheets available, so youll find one easily. If there is something missing that youd really like to have, please contact our support team. There are two ways of cupping with Cropster: using your browser to enter all details or using the Cropster Cup app. You can easily download & install Cropster Cup by scanning the QR-Code that youll see in the setup process. Once youve done that, you can cup your coffees anytime, anywhere and on any mobile device!
Dont forget to choose your cupping sheets and use the Cropster Cup app to cup anywhere, anytime, on any mobile device!
Part of the cocoa business? Set up your physical analysis easily!
If you are working in the cocoa business, there is one additional step that youll go through when getting started with Cropster. Youll want to choose the default settings for your physical analysis and the cut test sheets you want to use as well.
