We’re thrilled to announce a significant milestone for Cropster and the global coffee industry: Cropster has acquired Firescope, a South Korea-based developer of innovative roasting software.

This acquisition gives us the ability to cover the full spectrum of coffee businesses, from the smallest nano roasters to the largest coffee businesses, making us the first coffee software company to cover the entire coffee value chain. This underscores our commitment to growing the coffee sector in Asia while furthering the global shift towards data-driven solutions for roasters of all sizes.

Firescope has demonstrated impressive growth in Korea, Japan, and other Asian markets by providing cutting-edge software solutions for independent roasters. Their product philosophy perfectly aligns with Cropster’s mission to offer robust tools for businesses of all scales, from burgeoning startups to long-standing commercial enterprises.

Seamless Integration and Expanded Global Reach

Initially, Firescope will remain a fully supported standalone product. Over the next months, we plan to integrate Firescope into the broader Cropster portfolio, leading to a global launch. This merger is set to significantly expand Firescope’s global reach, empowering small roasters worldwide to harness the immense power of data. For existing customers, this integration means seamless scalability and continued support for their growth without interruption.

“We are excited to welcome the Firescope team into Cropster. This acquisition marks a new era for Cropster in Asia,” said Andreas Idl, Co-Founder & CEO of Cropster. “I’m deeply impressed by what the Firescope team achieved in a short period of time, and we’re excited for the opportunities combining our strengths will bring to the coffee industry worldwide.”

Jason Jin, Co-Founder & CEO of Firescope, added: “Firescope’s success in South Korea and other Asian markets laid the foundation for our next phase. Joining Cropster provides us with the resources and reach necessary to bring our solutions to small roasters worldwide. We’re excited to join Cropster, whose deep industry expertise will help us improve how roasters access and utilize data to grow.”

Empowering Coffee Businesses with Data

This acquisition is more than just a merger of two companies; it’s a fusion of shared vision and expertise, poised to redefine how coffee businesses thrive in a data-driven world. Together, Cropster and Firescope are committed to fostering innovation, expanding global reach, and empowering every roaster, big or small, to achieve unparalleled success.
