Besca users now have the ability to have more control over drum speed with Cropster Roasting Intelligence’s easy to use controllers. Cropster has worked with Besca machines for many years. Roasters using Besca equipment have benefited from many Roasting Intelligence features during that time, including the world’s first artificial intelligent roast curve prediction tools.

Previously, Besca users could control drum speed via the machine's interface and Airflow control and replay via Cropster’s RI. We are excited to add Drum speed to the suite of control features that Cropster Roasting Intelligence offers Besca users, enhancing their ability to manage and control each roast curve batch after batch.

Drum speed control is just one tool to help roasters achieve consistent production roasts. With drum speed control at their fingertips, Besca users can improve roast consistency when roasting the same coffee at batch sizes, giving them the ability to easily adjust drum speed on the fly and analyze the profile in real-time to understand how drum speed is affecting the roast. On top of that, Besca users will have an extra tool at their disposal to better understand and manage how fast or how slow their drum speed needs to be so that they can achieve the desired flavors, manipulate the relationship between conduction and convection, and prevent roast defects.
